Tasting notes
The 2016 A Quo is bright, punchy and loaded with character. Sweet red cherry, plum, cedar, sweet pipe tobacco, rose petal, mint and sweet spice are pushed forward in this racy, beautifully layered, entry-level offering from Montepeloso. I very much like the sense of energy here. More importantly, the 2016 is a stunning wine for the money.

Fresh violets, lavender, citrus and fresh herbs are the main attraction on the nose. Full body, grainy tannins, some lovely, crunchy acidity and a salty finish. A blend of montepulciano, sangiovese, cabernet sauvignon, marselan, and alicante bouschet. Drink now.
The 2016 A Quo shows just how great this vintage is. Powerful and deeply layered in the glass, the 2016 also boasts remarkable nuance. Black cherry, sage, lavender, thyme and mint are some of the many aromas and flavors that give the 2016 its savory, inviting personality. Ripe tannins add to the wine's sensual, alluring profile. In 2016 A Quo is vibrant and full of life. I won't be at all surprised if is an overachiever.
