Tasting notes
Peppery, herbal, intricate nose. Green and long and so, so structured it seems to fill the mouth with arching steel girders. Outrageously fresh, explosive! A crescendo of wine, more felt than tasted. (TC)

I also tasted the 2016 Vidonia, pure Listán Blanco from a centenary vineyard on clay soils at 350 to 450 meters altitude. It fermented in used 500-liter oak casks, where the wine matured for a period of ten months. It feels young and undeveloped, with aromas reminiscent of gunflint and smoke. The palate feels more austere and stony. 2016 was not an easy year (they didn't produce Solana that year), but the result was outstanding. Well done! 5,600 bottles were filled in September 2017.
