Score 90/100 · Drink 2018-2022, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Dec 2017

The 2016 Pinot Noir les Varrons is a massale selection of Pinot Noir planted in 1983 on red clay soils over a limestone rich subsoil that aged in 228-liter oak barrels for six months. It's a light and fresh Pinot Noir with only 11.5% alcohol, showing aromas of red berries and violets, hints of orange peel and a touch of aromatic herbs. The palate is light to medium-bodied, with flavors of acid berries, refreshing and with unnoticeable tannins. It was bottled in April 2017.
