The maiden 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Les Fuesselottes 1er Cru has a very sensual bouquet, offering ample red currant and cranberry fruit and nicely integrated oak. You cannot perceive the 70-80% whole bunches at all - it is completely disguised. The palate is medium-bodied with a wonderful orange-peel-tinged opening, hints of marmalade then infusing the red fruit toward the elegant finish. This is an outstanding wine from Haisma.

75% whole bunch. Stony and rich soil. Tank sample. Seductive cherry fruit. Generous and caressing on the palate, compact yet smooth tannins and succulent in the extreme. Juicy, fresh and long. The stalks barely show. (JH)
