Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2020-2035, Neal Martin, Jan 2019
The 2017 Vosne-Romanée La Croix Rameau 1er Cru, one of the domaine’s lesser-known crus, offers brambly red fruit on the nose, which is very transparent and perhaps displays a little more mineralité than the Les Suchots. The palate is medium-bodied but lighter than the 2015 or 2016, quite harmonious and poised, and shows a healthy dash of black pepper and sea salt toward the sustained finish. Excellent.
