Score 17.5/20 · Drink 2027-2040, Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com, Dec 2018
On the Chambolle side below de Vogüé. 100% new oak. Barrel sample – already racked from barrel to barrel. Scented: red fruits, just-ripe red cherries. Well structured, as much by the acidity as by the tannins, which are really quite delicate. Just a touch of smoky oak spice but the fruit sings. Builds to a more chewy finish and all in embryo but surprisingly approachable. (JH)
