Tasting notes
Aromas of red berries, plums, licorice and raw cocoa introduce the 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Procès, a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and open-knit wine that's round, enveloping and charming, its tannins entirely cloaked in succulent fruit.

Barrel sample. 1.5 ha shared between three (eg Drouhin). Very limestone. Exotic ripe red cherry on the nose but stony too, complex even now. Mineral, dry and chalky on the palate. Tight and fine, extra-fine tannins. An umami taste on the finish. (JH)
