Score 89/100 · Drink 2016-2024, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Nov 2015

The 2012 Baron Edmond is a blend of 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 70% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. It has a slightly reduced bouquet that suppresses the fruit at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with chocolate-tinged black fruit, soft and supple in the mouth, quite harmonious but showing too much oak on the dusty finish. This is a fine Bordeaux blend, but I feel it could be better.
