Score 18/20 · Drink 2027-2040, Julia Harding MW, jancisrobinson.com, Dec 2018
100% new oak. Barrel sample – already racked from barrel to barrel. Fragrant and lifted with tangy but ripe black fruits yet with the space to also have a light floral note, even orange? Chocolate orange? Hard to describe. On the palate, seems very Morey, more subtle than I expected, supple tannins, great freshness and the power is all in the length. Mouth-wateringly moreish on the finish. (JH)
