Tasting notes
Fratelli Alessandria's 2015 Barolo makes for a very fine introduction to the vintage at this address. Macerated dark cherry, leather, cedar, tobacco and spice give the 2015 lovely shades of nuance. Best of all, the 2015 will drink well right out of the gate. This is such a pretty and expressive md-weight Barolo that really hits all the right notes for a wine in its peer group. Another year or two in bottle will only help the tannins soften.

From one of the stars of Verduno, Fratelli Alessandria, the 2015 Barolo is a beautifully elegant and compact wine at first. Give it a few moments in the glass, and the wine opens beautifully to reveal polished and detailed tones of wild berry, cassis, licorice and tar. All of this is followed by a delicate floral signature of violets and roses that accompany the wine from start to finish. This vintage is elegant yet voluptuous at the same time.
The 2015 Barolo is a terrific introduction to the year. Tasted from cask in a hypothetical blend, the 2015 has so much to offer. Dark cherry, plum, leather, spice and cedar notes add lovely aromatic nuance throughout. This pretty, delicate Barolo has quite a bit of character, especially within its peer group.
