Score 87/100 · Drink 1994-2000, Robert Parker, Aug 1994
The 1991 Shiraz is an excellent bargain. The saturated dark ruby/purple color is followed by a forceful, peppery, vanillin, and cassis-scented wine with excellent richness, medium to full body, a satiny smooth texture, and gobs of chewy fruit, glycerin, and heady alcohol in the finish. It is a wine to buy by the case and drink over the next 4-6 years. Importers: Franklin Selections, Inc., Linthicum, MD and Kooka Wines, Seattle, WA.
