Tasting notes
The 2017 Chablis 1er Cru Séchet confirms its terrific showing from barrel, wafting from the glass with scents of waxy lemon rind, crisp peach, blanched almonds and dried white flowers. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, ample and incisive, with a tangy spine of acidity, excellent depth and dimension at the core and a long, penetrating finish. With its debut vintage, the Séchet establishes a strong claim to rank as one of Piuze's best cuvées.

The 2017 Chablis Les Séchets 1er Cru, which comes from the limestone part of Séchets, has a clean and precise bouquet with light toffee apple and light cherry aromas, all very well defined. The palate is well balanced with a saline entry, modest weight, rather spicy with a brisk, quite intense finish that just needs longer on the aftertaste.
