Score 90/100 · Drink 2014-2020, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Aug 2014
The 2012 Chablis Grand Cru Vaudesir comes from 25-year-old vines and was raised in 3- to 5-year-old French oak. It has a crisp and well-defined bouquet with citrus lemon, dried pineapple and sufficient mineral notes for a Vaudesir. The palate is clean and fresh with green apple, lime, citrus lemon and white peach notes, leading to a finish that is harmonious and armed with a satisfying waxy veneer. Very fine. Drink now-2020. Domaine Roland Lavantureux offered a mixed bag of delights in 2012, with one of two very impressive wines for the vintage rubbing shoulders with a couple that found the going tougher.
