Tasting notes
Like the depth of fruit and intensity to this Bordeaux Sup., which shows blackberry and blueberry character. Ripe tannins, too. Wait and see, but I like it.

The 2018 Francs Magnus is fresh, floral and wonderfully nuanced, with lovely aromatic brightness and vibrant red cherry fruit. There is terrific purity to the fruit. The 2018 is perhaps just a touch slender, hopefully it will fill out during élevage. Drink this gorgeous, mid-weight Bordeaux Supérieur over the next handful of years. Tasted two times.
Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2018 Francs Magnus reveals notes of raisin cake, baked plums and chocolate box with hints of fallen leaves and menthol. The palate is full-bodied with loads of berry preserves and baking spice flavors and a chewy texture, finishing peppery.
