Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2014-2022, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Jan 2014

The 2012 Bourgogne, from parcels in Chambolle and Vosne, is a big wine, especially at its level. Dark red cherry, plum, smoke and licorice all flesh out in a deep, vinous, over-achieving wine. A deep, fleshy finish rounds things out nicely. Readers who want to experience Cecile Tremblay's wines without spending a fortune should start here. The Bourgogne was made entirely with destemmed fruit.
