2011 Volnay Caillerets

The 2011 Volnay Les Caillerets is the most complete of Boillot’s Volnays. Layers of dark, deeply spiced fruit flow across the palate as this decidedly generous, resonant Volnay opens up. There is plenty of tension and vibrancy on the finish, but also more than enough fruit to balance the tannins. The overall impression is one of silkiness and total finesse. This is a terrific showing.
