Tasting notes
Lightish crimson. On the nose a little darker fruited and more spicy than the Vosne wines. Less creamy too, the tannins fine-grained rather than creamy but still so smooth. Wonderfully fresh and moreish. Deep and long and glorious. (JH)

The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Boudots 1er Cru has one of the most vivacious bouquets of the range, featuring shimmering red cherries, wild strawberry, bergamot and hints of Earl Grey coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine, filigreed tannin, silky-smooth texture and a slightly savory, persistent finish. A supremely well crafted wine from Grivot.
The 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Boudots displays notes of sweet wild berries, spices, rose petal, orange rind and potpourri, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny palate that's plush, layered and fragrant, with a deep core of fruit and a long, stony finish. This is a high-class Boudots that is performing very well from barrel.
