70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Malbec and 5% Petit Verdot. Deep black cherry colour. Minty cassis and lifted fruit. Chewy and satisfying on the palate, moreish and fresh even with so much sweet fruit. Complex with some secondary forest-floor notes but still mostly fruit and much more to come. (JH)

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2013 Dry Red No 1 (Bordeaux Blend) has notes of black currant, crushed blackberries and blueberries with hints of Provence herbs, lavender and baking spices. Medium-bodied, finely constructed and elegant in the mouth, it has fine, grainy tannins and a nice lively lift to the long finish.
