2016 Pommard

(the yield was cut significantly by frost; this wine and the rest of these 2016s were tasted from barrel): Bright red. Raspberry, spices and flowers on the nose, plus suggestions of darker fruits. High-toned but juicy cranberry and pomegranate flavors are a bit dried today by the wine's one-third new oak element. Finishes slightly sharp and a bit dry, with repeating notes of tart red berries.
