Tasting notes
Partly his own vines since 2012, partly managed. 100% new oak. Barrel sample – already racked from barrel to barrel. Sweet, ripe, dark but fresh fruit with a hint of oak. No overripeness just generously ripe. Complexed by a hint of flowers and spices. Just a little savoury. Juicy and much more tangy and fresh than I expected on the palate, quite a contrast with the nose. Lovely fresh tension on the finish. Firm but beautifully smooth tannins. (JH)

About the producer

Olivier Bernstein is among the most successful producers in Burgundy, setting the bar high for the growing number of micro-négociants in the region by producing wines that compete with those of the Côte d’Or’s finest domaines.
