Tasting notes
Unfurling in the glass with aromas of white flowers, citrus blossom, fresh peach and almond paste, the 2017 Givry 1er Cru Crausot Blanc is medium to full-bodied, satiny and incisive, with the most structural tension, concentration and incipient complexity of Lumpp's whites. Of his three white Givrys, this is the bottling that will reward a few years' bottle age.

The 2017 Givry Crausot 1er Cru Blanc is quite backward on the nose despite encouragement. C’mon - give me more! The palate is fresh on the entry with crisp acidity, just a hint of orange peel and sour lemon complementing the citrus fruit, and the finish is nicely defined and persistent. Give this a couple of years for the aromatics to open.
