Score 90-92/100 · Drink 2021-2028, Neal Martin, Jan 2019

The 2017 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Champs Chevreys 1er Cru, matured in one-third new oak, has a slightly more minerally bouquet than the Les Lavières, while the palate shows a tad more depth and grip. There is just a little coarseness toward the finish, but that should smooth out with time. Very fine, but give it a year or two in bottle.
