Score 90/100 · Drink 2019-2027, Neal Martin, Jul 2018
The 2016 Pommard offers a little more energy than the Volnay – very well defined and with a sense of airiness. The palate is fresh and vibrant with fine tannin, what you might call a "bright 'n breezy" Pommard with a finely chiseled finish.

Bright medium red. Cherry and raspberry aromas complicated by menthol and mint. Juicy on entry, then supple and modestly sweet in the middle, showing a bit more texture than the village Volnay. Has just enough material to buffer its dusty tannins.
