Tasting notes
The 2017 Chablis Vosgros 1er Cru has one of the more austere aromatics, reluctantly offering Granny Smith apples and freshly sliced pear. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, featuring touches of orange peel, white peach and nectarine, and gaining intensity toward the bright finish, where I would have liked just a little more salinity. Otherwise, this is a fine Chablis with satisfying length. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune.

The 2017 Chablis Vosgros 1er Cru is delicate, floral and silky, with lovely depth to match. Rich, creamy and inviting, yet also light on its feet, with terrific energy and brightness. With its bright, appealing orchard fruit notes, the Vosgros is the most accessible and small-scaled of Droin's premiers crus.
The 2017 Chablis Vosgros bursts with aromas of fresh peach and citrus blossom, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rounded and charming palate that's fleshy and open-knit, showing the year's generous, sun-kissed site.
