Soaring from the glass with a lovely bouquet of raspberries, red cherries, spices, orange rind and coniferous forest floor, Drouhin's 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Village is medium-bodied, velvety and supple, with succulent acids, melting tannins and a fragrant core of fruit. Tasted from bottle, this quintessentially elegant wine is showing very well, and it will offer a broad drinking window.
The 2017 Chambolle-Musigny Village has a glorious, vibrant bouquet of dark cherries, blue fruit and light violet aromas that could only come from this appellation. The palate is very well balanced, conveying good weight and vigor and revealing hints of white pepper and clove toward the finish. One of the best Village Crus from Drouhin this year. Recommended.
This is warm and round with soft and velvety tannins. Medium to full body, round and juicy tannins and a flavorful finish. Shows density and potential for the vintage. Better in 2020, but already fun to taste.
