This is tight and very fresh with linear acidity and creamy texture. Medium to full body and lots of brightness. Lovely, energetic finish. Lots of strawberry and smoked meat. Drink or hold.

Racked to foudre. Slopes of Les Rugiens-Hauts and Les Vaumuriens and La Vache, south-east facing. Rocky site. Rocky soils tend to give lighter colours. Clay, darker (magnesium). Lots of spice here and crushed rocks on the nose with dark-red fruit. Fine tannins, dry, moreish and mouth-watering. Dark finesse. Delicate for a Pommard, finesse and length. (JH)
