Tasting notes
The medium-gold colored 2016 Saint-Péray Roussanne is another sensational wine and the quality - and consistency - coming from this estate is incredible. Buttered lime, tangerine, liquid rock, white flowers and orange blossom characteristics give way to a full-bodied, ripe, opulent white that stays balanced and lively. It’s a quintessential expression of Roussanne that will keep for a decade or more.

Light bright yellow. Tangerine, honey, anise and pungent flowers on the bright, mineral-tinged nose. Silky and concentrated in the mouth, offering bitter pear skin, orange zest and floral flavors that become spicier and more minerally with air. Finishes with solid grip and strong, minerally persistence, leaving a bitter citrus pith note behind.
The 2016 Saint Peray Roussanne was fermented in oak (half in barriques, half in wooden vats). It’s medium to full-bodied, boasting notes of pineapple, crushed stone and a bit of honeyed richness that blends into a chalky, dry, briny finish.
