Tasting notes
The 2016 Bernkasteler Badstube Spätlese (AP 04 17) is clear and precise in its aromatic bouquet that delivers white stone fruit as well as herbal and floral aromas to the nose. The wine is light, piquant and smooth on the palate, very juicy but also crystalline and firm, with persistent fruit and refreshing minerality. Gorgeous. Tasted March 2018.

Sultry, headily sweet scents of lily and gardenia mingle with those of fresh apple and dark cherry. The buoyant, subtly creamy palate is loaded with inner-mouth perfume that carries into a lusciously lingering finish tinged with nicely contrasting alkaline and set stone notes.
