Tasting notes
Somehow smells of candy floss! But on the palate it's much livelier and fresher with a lovely creamy texture and fine acidity. Very composed and promising. (JR)

Cork. Seductively rich on the nose – creamy pear and stone fruit. Rounded and creamy in the mouth. Genlte but long and harmonious. A mouth-wateringly sour freshness on the finish and a slight grainy texture. (JH)
The 2016 Ried Lamm 1ÖTW has a deep and flinty-mineral bouquet of dark ripe fruits with some citrus and also herbal and spicy flavors: a very elegant and noble Kamptal Grüner Veltliner. Full-bodied, round and highly elegant, this is a charmingly sweet but also piquant, tight, lingering and mineral Lamm with a long, well structured and even salty finish. The wine is rich and elegant, and the phenols are not yet fully integrated, so I consider it as far too young to be enjoyed all too soon. There is good finesse, lingering salinity and certainly very good aging potential. Fermented and aged in 2700-liter barrels (Mannhartsberg oak). Tasted as a sample at Schloss Gobelsburg in June 2017.
