Very ripe with attractive tealeaf aromas. Very flattering to taste but it might have been even more appetising had it been picked very slightly earlier. (JR)

Moderately saturated ruby-red. Slightly reduced aromas of black fruits, dark chocolate and meat. Nicely concentrated but rather uncompromisingly dry black plum and currant flavors. Finishes with serious tongue-coating tannins, a faint greenness and good length. In comparison, the regular '97 cabernet was far more dominated by its green component.
