Score 89/100 · Drink 2016-2022, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Aug 2016
The 2014 Chablis 1er Cru Montée de Tonnerre has an outgoing and almost raucous bouquet with potent lime, citrus fruit and aniseed-like scents--attractive, but not typically Chablis. The palate is not dissimilar to the nose: outgoing and wanting to make an impression. For certain, there is commendable weight in the mouth and yet I found it missing the delineation and tension displayed by say, the Les Vaillons or Les Montmains this year. Still, it should give drinking pleasure over the next 4-6 years, possibly more.
