2016 Tolpuddle Pinot Noir

Tolpuddle has begun to garner a fantastic reputation worldwide. Made by iconic Aussie winemakers Shaw + Smith, the cool climate of Tasmania means elegant, beautifully balanced Pinot Noirs which marry Burgundian precision with New World intensity of fruit flavour. The wines have garnered huge compliments from Australian wine guru James Halliday as well as the UK’s own Jancis Robinson, who when she first tasted the wines commented that "buying this vineyard was possibly the cleverest thing that Shaw+Smith ever did”. First appearing on our radar in 2013, when we were allocated a tiny quantity of the 2012 vintage, the wines sold fast and we have heard nothing but exceptionally high praise from clients ever since.
