Score 95/100 · Drink 2020-2032, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2017
The 2012 Barbaresco Asili Vecchie Viti is silky, gracious and lifted, as wines from this site in Barbaresco typically are. Fresh, nuanced. Hard candy, orange peel, red-toned fruit, mint, chalk and white pepper contribute to the wine's bright flavor profile. The tannins are finely-knit into the wine's fabric, which makes the 2012 easy to drink and enjoy, even on the young side. This is another impressive showing from Luca Roagna.
