Bright ruby. Even riper on the nose than the Uco Valley example, showing more bitter chocolate and spicecake than black raspberry in the early going. Very dense but with a suaver mouthfeel than the Uco Valley Malbec: less glyceral and more refined. More classic youthful Malbec flavors of blackberry, licorice, menthol and herbs. Longer on the finish too, conveying less-exaggerated ripeness even if the label states the same 14.7% alcohol. The spicecake note repeats on the very long finish of this powerful wine.

The 2014 Bramare Luján de Cuyo Malbec is plumier and riper, and as it was produced and aged in a similar fashion as the one from Valle de Uco, I guess it just showed the character of the warmer vintage in a warmer place. The effect of the oak was more noticeable here, and overall it's a matter of preference, because the quality is similar. Today, I prefer the one from Valle de Uco. 86,400 bottles produced.
A wine with juicy fruit, walnut character and a dustiness. Sea salt. Medium to full body, silky tannins. Pretty cabernet with richness and freshness. Drink now.
