One of my favorites in the lineup, the 2015 Chardonnay B.A. Thieriot Vineyard is a rockstar Chardonnay that does everything right. Gorgeous white peach, citrus blossom, and hints of tart pineapple flow to a rounded, medium-bodied, incredibly pure 2015 that shows the slightly richer style of the vintage yet doesn’t lack for precision or focus. This is another estate making a distinctly vibrant, fresh style of wine that’s going to appeal to the Burgundy lovers out there. It’s an incredibly educational tasting going through all these different single vineyards from Ted Lemon and these are interesting, singular wines. As a whole, the 2015s shows slightly more oomph compared to the 2016s, yet both vintages have vibrant acidity and balanced profiles. As expected, quantities are slightly up in 2016.

Another alluring wine, the 2015 Chardonnay Thieriot Vineyard is the most vivid and sculpted of these Chardonnays, as it typically is. Here the flavors are finely sketched, with plenty of citrus, floral and mineral notes pushed forward. Deceptive in its mid-weight feel, the Thieriot packs a real punch. I would give the 2015 a year or two in bottle to unwind a bit. What a gorgeous and expressive wine this is.

The 2015 Chardonnay Thieriot Vineyard is laced with the essence of candied lemon, white flowers, mint and chalk. A translucent, weightless wine, the 2015 possesses striking energy, with soft contours from the low yields of the vintage and exceptional polish. The precise, saline-drenched finish is pure Thieriot. This is a stunning wine from Littorai.
