Bright, light yellow. Nectarine and toasty, spicy oak on the rather restrained nose. Surprisingly pliant and sweet on entry, showing a creamier, softer middle palate than the Clos des Folatières and fully ripe flavors of yellow stone fruits and spices. A rich, rather forward style of Bienvenues that's most impressive on its savory, smooth, long finish. Almost glyceral but I don't find the inner-mouth vibrancy or finishing grip of the Clos des Folatières.
