Score 92/100 · Drink 2015-2019, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Aug 2015

The 2013 Malbec, mainly from Medrano and Perdriel, matured in used barrels for eight months. This is extremely aromatic and perfumed with intense aromas of violets and even lilies, and some fruitiness akin to a Touringa Nacional and even Moscatel, but of course, it had none in the blend. The palate is silky, the tannins are extremely fine and there is no trace of oak here plus the acidity is subtle and very well integrated. 2013 is higher in acidity than 2014. This is a superb Malbec with high-pitched fruit. 240,000 bottles produced.

Bright red-ruby. Aromas of crushed dark berries and kirsch are lifted by a cool violet topnote. At once dense and juicy, with brisk acidity framing the fine-grained flavors of dark fruits, spices and fresh herbs. Finishes with smooth tannins and very good length.
