Tasting notes
This is notably ripe though the nose stops just short of expressing exotic fruit aromas and I particularly like the plethora of Chablis characters present on the pear and citrus scents. There is excellent richness, volume and density to the full-bodied flavors that possess plenty of minerality on the powerful lemon-inflected finale that is both persistent and quite dry. Very fine quality here.

The 2014 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu has a straightforward bouquet that does not quite deliver the terroir expression you would hope from this vintage. The palate is fresh on the entry, quite rounded in texture like a 2015 with a resinous, waxy finish that needs more tension. Easy-drinking, but not an intellectual Chablis.
