Tasting notes
The 2015 Crozes-Hermitage Domaine Des Lises has plenty of oak, yet backs it up with solid depth of fruit and richness. Black raspberry, blueberries, violets, and loads of sawdust and wood notes give way to a medium to full-bodied Syrah that has good freshness and purity, with fine tannin. It's going to be interesting to see how the oak integrates, but my money is on this evolving nicely. These wines are made by Maxime Graillot, who manages the wines of Alain Graillot.

The 2015 Crozes Hermitage avoids any sense of over-ripeness or excessive weight and tannin. Instead, it's silky and pure, with vibrant cherry fruit that begs to be gulped rather than carefully tasted. It's a terrific wine for drinking over the next 5-7 years.
