Score 90/100 · Drink 2018-2028, Neal Martin, May 2019

The 2011 Echézeaux Grand Cru feels a little reduced on the nose and lacks the flow of far superior, more recent vintages. The palate seems to have undergone quite a lot of extraction but it just retains balance with impressive density on the savory, grippy finish. Fine, although it pales against recent superlative wines. Tasted at Flint Wines Burgundy 2011 tasting.
