Tasting notes
The interplay between the fresh, lemon and melon aromas and the waxy, creamy side of this, gives it a lot of appeal. The crisp, apple and lemon finish draws you back for more. A blend of 71 per cent sauvignon blanc and 29 per cent semillon. Drink or hold.

The 2016 La Tour Carnet Blanc is bright and delineated, but it also offers quite a bit of mid-palate depth. White flowers, lemon peel and grapefruit give the wine its aromatic profile, while the Sémillon (29%) comes through in the wine's textural feel.
The La Tour Carnet 2016 Blanc is a blend of 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Semillon that was cropped at 26 hectoliters per hectare. It has a lovely bouquet with lime flower and lemon curd scents mixed with a touch of chalk dust. The palate is fresh and vibrant with fine acidity, the two grape varieties working well together, fanning out with pineapple and hints of papaya on the long and tender finish. This comes recommended.
A fresh and very pretty white with sliced apples, pears and lemon rind plus hints of salt. Medium body, bright fruit and a steely finish. Mar 2017, www.jamessuckling.com
