Tasting notes
Although the 2012 Barolo has all the basic characteristics of a classic Barolo, the delivery of aromas is immediate and shows less complexity. There is thick dark fruit, black cherry and spice. Overall, this hot-vintage expression lacks the depth you get in cooler vintages.

La Morra. Maturing deep ruby with a narrow orange rim. Alluring spicy nose and a thick layer of dried fruit on the palate. Mellow finish. Ready now. (WS)
The 2012 Barolo is dark, supple and inviting. Dark red cherry, plum, spice, new leather and menthol meld together in a resonant, expressive Barolo that will drink well early. This is a classic Oberto Barolo built on supple, inviting texture. Traces of French oak linger on the close. The Barolo is a blend of fruit from five sites across La Morra.
