2014 Colli Orientali del Friuli Tocai Friulano

Enzo Pontoni's 2014 Friulano is the most successful of these wines. Aromatically expressive and nuanced, the 2014 offers good depth and tons of personality. Yellow orchard fruit, apricot pit, honey, chamomile and mint wrap around the fleshy, delineated finish. When all is said and done, this is a remarkable wine for the vintage. A recent bottle tasted just a few weeks ago confirms 2014 lives up to its first impressions.
