The 2011 Gattinara is a tasty, accessible, straightforward offering. Dried red stone fruits, tobacco, mint and worn-in leather adds shades of nuance throughout. The finish is a bit abrupt, but otherwise this is a solid entry-level Gattinara that will drink well right out of the gate.
