Tasting notes
Rich, layered fruit with a red cherry and blackberry flavour. Sweet spice, and an open, opulent palate that is already showing good complexity. With this much promise at an early stage, this is a particularly good buy for 2014 Burgundy. (RH)

Healthy dark red. Deep, sexy nose offers scents of black raspberry, coffee, herbs and spices. Lush, full and ripe; a distinctly broad, plush style of Chambolle with inviting flavors of black fruits and chocolate. This very velvety premier cru finishes with rich, full, sweet tannins and noteworthy breadth. With global warming, the lower-altitude premier crus of the village have a tendency to produce a fatter, even heavy style of wine unless the vines are harvested early, but this wine maintains its balance.
