Tasting notes
Extremely leafy and cedary on the nose. Dusty too. Pretty green on the palate but at least it is fresh and the tannins are grainy but gentle. (JH)

Owner Bruno Borie’s relatively new bordello-styled label will undoubtedly create controversy, but I love it. It is good to see a Bordelais break with tradition with this more vibrant, dramatic label design. The 2011 Fourcas Borie is slightly herbal, but it possesses loads of fruit and I think the herbaceousness will evolve into an attractive cedary component after several years of bottle age. However, there is no reason to defer your gratification as this is one of the better Listracs I tasted. The color is a dark ruby and there is loads of fruit in this 2011 (which I believe includes a high percentage of Merlot). Drink it over the next 5-7 years.
