Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2019-2030, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2016

The 2015 Nuits Saint Georges Village comes half and half from Premeaux and the Vosne-Romanée side of the appellation. The 30% new oak comes across more conspicuously on the nose, perhaps not tempered by the whole bunch that was not used in this blend. But there is very good depth of fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded, slightly sinewy tannin. There is very good depth of fruit here, a mixture of red and black, though I would like just a little more mineralité and tension to come through on the finish. Given the substance in display here, I wouldn't hesitate giving this 2-3 years in bottle.

(vinified with 30% whole clusters): Bright, dark red. Rather wild scents of black cherry and leather. Rich, sweet and fat with fruit, with its black cherry flavor accented by a licorice note and carrying nicely through a broad, ripely tannic, persistent finish.
