Tasting notes
Medium red with a slightly pale rim. Expressive aromas of strawberry, menthol, spices and underbrush. Offers good richness in the mouth, with an almost exotic flavor of cherry liqueur enlivened by a minty nuance. Finishes with a slightly peppery quality and sneaky length.

Lovely strawberry fruit with a good dash of green herby complexity. Tight structure, though the tannin is almost digestible now. Finishes with an attractive iodine character. (RH)
Moderately saturated medium red. Red fruit and earth aromas are dominated by exotic spicy high notes of clove and cinnamon. Then sweeter and more substantial in the mouth than the nose suggests, with cranberry and dusty spice flavors complicated by sexy underbrush. Benoît Stehly told me that four months after the racking he's starting to find this wine's terroir , noting that previously it was masked by the vintage. He also admitted that he's not generally wild about this cuvée as he finds it a bit atypical for its appellation.
