The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin Village includes 50% whole bunch fruit, which Mark Haisma was only too eager to discuss when I visited the winery. It has a very fine bouquet with bright, vivid red berry fruit, cranberry and touches of pomegranate. The palate is fresh and vibrant, well balanced with a fine line of acidity, merging with some black fruit towards the finish that shows commendable structure. Good potential here - recommended.

Lots of whole bunch, 45-50%. Croix des Champs east of the RN74 and Justice. Eight barrels, of which two are new. Smudgy nose. Very sweet and a bit lighter than the Gevrey stereotype. Chalky tannins on the end. Fresh finish. (JR)
