(this was bottled on the day of my visit, but my sample was taken from the tank that morning; 80% of these vines are in Prémeaux): Medium red. Aromas of black cherry, blackberry, licorice and spices. Sweet and deep for this cuvée owing to the ripeness of the year but a bit rustic. The wine's sucrosité should give it early drinkability.

A touch of new wood is present on the ripe red and dark berry, earth and softly spicy nose. There is fine richness to the relatively full-bodied flavors that possess an agreeable mouth feel while offering reasonably good length on the slightly warm finale. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
